John brings a unique and practical view of how to implement a system and process to reduce the potential for liability for Employers and Prime Contractors, and to ensure workplaces are as safe as they can be.
John has been passionately leading in safety for over 5 years in the new home residential construction, and land development industry in Alberta.  Since 2003, he has been, and continues to be, the Safety Manager for Carma Developers LP, one of Alberta’s largest land developers in residential community construction.

The scope of safety at Carma includes 5 divisions:  Residential New Home Construction; Head Office; Residential Land Development; Commercial; and Residents Associations.  John not only ensures safety for his 300 employees, but is also charged with the prime contractor responsibility to ensure over 340 Employers are complying with OH&S legislation.
